Chicago Airport Hijacked By Homeless!

O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, is one the busiest airports in the USA. It caters to around 30-40 million passengers every year. But a viral video from the airport is giving it a reputation that no airport wants to have. A section of the airport is claimed to be converted into a shelter home for homeless people and ‘illegals’. The area seem to be have cordoned off using black drapes and journalists were allegedly not allowed to enter the area.

America is struggling from an acute household and immigration crisis that it tries to hide from the world. The infrastructure of the ‘greatest country’ of the world seems insufficient to accomodate a few millions at their expense and they have to resort to desperate measures like these.

A large section of society considered this an encroachment of public place and were not happy about it. However the anger was seen turning into xenophobia in the comments section with people demanding to deport them. However many users expressed their concerns about the condition people were living in and that of the airport.

Right now the plans US government have to tackle immigration and housing crisis seems insufficient leading to inhumane living conditions and loss of public property. There is a need for both accountability and planning at a higher level to address the problem.
