Embarrassing Media Edit Of President!

While the military forces of Ukraine and Russia are waging a war on the battlefield, a combat is taking place at the information front. Shaping narratives is very important to garner international support that Ukraine desperately needs right now. In an attempt to show that the President of the country is being taken seriously, the Ukrainian media shared doctored video of Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivering a speech at the UN in front of a huge crowd.

Zelenskyy is currently in the USA where he is trying to further gain support of the Biden administration in this war against Russia. The Ukrainian President delivered a speech at the UN and the state media shared the video of the speech but not the original one. They edited the video in order to give an impression that the speech was delivered to a bigger audience.

The authenticity of the video was questioned and it was debunked that the scenes showing the audience were not from Zelenskyy’s speech but a previous recording. The team editing the video did not do a decent enough job as they forgot to edit out Zelenskyy himself from the audience. So the video showed Zelenskyy delivering a speech with Zelenskyy himself sitting in the audience. This has created an embarrassing situation for Ukraine.
