Green Card Crackdown: Say Goodbye to Your Privacy!

In Donald Trump’s latest move against immigrants, the US president has started attacking the free speech of people legally residing in the country. His administration now wants green card holders and applicants to hand over their social media profiles.

USCIS claims this is for “National security” but this reeks of political censorship. Critics are already warning that this authoritarian rule will not stop with just the green card applicants. This should raise alarms for all Trump dissenters as they could be the next target.

“People are being detained because their phones contain posts critical of Trump,” one X user wrote. Another pointed out how the policy has expanded from targeting visa applicants abroad to those within US borders.

The recent controversial arrest of Green Card holder Mahmoud Khalil and the deportation of Doctor Rasha Alawieh have added to the fire. Both legal immigrants faced punishment for their beliefs and for letting it out in public.

Earlier, a French scientist visiting the country on a B1/B2 visa was also detained at the airport as he had been critical of Trump on X.

Trump’s immigration crackdown has gone far beyond keeping borders secure. It’s about silencing dissent and discriminating against legally residing immigrants.

At this rate speaking against the “supreme leader” will soon become the biggest threat to “national security.” Only those who agree with his policies will be allowed in the country while all others are thrown out.
