Indian Origin Man Jailed For Posing As God

It is said that playing God could be risky. It turned out to be true for a person in Singapore who was sentenced to imprisonment for doing the same. An Indian origin man in Singapore has been sentenced to two weeks in jail after he wore the national flag of Singapore as a cape and shouted at people that he is God.

The incident took place on the fifth of September when the accused entered a coffee shop wearing a green t-shirt with the national flag draped around. He started yelling and shouting at everyone inside creating a nuisance. He even lifted his t-shirt to show his bare torso to the public. He shouted at everyone that he was God.

Someone from the coffee house called the police when the nuisance increased. He informed the police that a drunkard is causing trouble in the coffee shop. When police arrived, they still found him harassing people and took him under custody.

The man pleaded guilty of being a public nuisance. This was not the first time the accused has done something like this. He has served a five day jail sentence for a similar charge.
