Iran Strikes Kuwait Water Plant, Indian Worker Killed

An Iranian strike on a Kuwaiti power station has killed an Indian worker. Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy confirmed the death of an Indian national in the attack.

The strike targeted a power and water desalination plant in Kuwait. It caused heavy damage to the facility. Authorities have described the incident as an act of Iranian aggression.

Technical and emergency teams were sent to the site soon after the strike. They began rescue and damage control work. There has been no official response from Iran so far.

Kuwait has faced repeated attacks since the US and Israel began the war against Iran last month. With this incident, the Indian death toll has risen to seven.

Other casualties include one Indian in Saudi Arabia, two in Oman, and two in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Reports also suggest that one more Indian national is missing.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs said its missions in Riyadh, Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Baghdad are working together. They are helping stranded Indians and arranging to bring back mortal remains.

The ongoing war triggered by US and Israel strikes against Iran continues to claim civilian lives. This is despite US President Donald Trump stating that the war has already been won.
