TANA elections are finally done. A two-month long election campaign across America, followed by three weeks of polling, and finally counting concluded in Seattle. The Naren Kodali Panel was elected by TANA voters for the period of 2023-25. Highlight of this election is more than 23,000 votes got polled.
The first elections held for the period of 2023-25 were canceled due to lack of time, the second time, everyone got compromised and the office-bearers were elected through the selection process but the court annulled them. Finally, the elaborate election process happened for the third time.
This entire process took about a year. In a way, TANA came to a standstill due to these delays. After the court cases and verbal spats, finally the elections are over. For the first time in the history of TANA, the polling happened in the Electronic Voting method.
The controversial, heated, and elaborate election process piqued interest in the Telugu community about the outcome.
Team Kodali under the leadership of Naren Kodali had a clean sweep in this election. The team Vemuri panel headed by Sateesh Vemuri pinned hopes on the silent voting that never happened. Here are the details of the winners:
Dr. Naren Kodali with 20 years of association with TANA worked as past BOD Chairman and in other positions elected as Executive Vice President (President Elect).
Raja Kasukurthi has been elected as the Secretary. He will be serving as Treasurer from 2023 to 2025. Raja’s extensive experience within TANA includes serving in various roles such as National Services Coordinator, Backpack Chairman, Regional Coordinator, and more.
