No Electricity In Tribal Homes Of USA!

The USA, the world superpower, has homes without electricity even in the 21st century! It is as shocking as embarrassing for the poster boy of development and the American dream.

According to a report from the US Energy Department, around 17,000 tribal homes do not have access to this essential commodity, something that the agencies use to measure the development and prosperity of a country. Most of these homes are located in Alaska and southwestern states.

It is shocking because, before this report, the electrification percentage of the US was 100%, as per the reports. But, in a country that has access to all the resources known to mankind, some people got left out in the process.

The process of electrification of these homes will begin soon, with an initial funding of $72.5 million, the total budget being $150 million. It will help these tribes to finally connect with the rest of the world, and become developed, as they call it.
