Iran’s New Leader Hits Back: First Missile Strike on Israel

A suspected Iranian missile barrage lit up the skies near Tel Aviv in Israel late on Sunday night. Several witnesses recorded the incident on video as bright trails moved across the sky before explosions were heard.

The attack, if confirmed to be from Iran, would mark the first such strike since Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly became the Supreme Leader following the death of Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

Videos circulating online show glowing missile trails crossing the night sky. Moments later, explosions can be seen and heard in the distance. News outlet Al Jazeera widely shared the footage on X, previously known as Twitter.

The clips quickly triggered strong reactions across social media platforms. Many users began debating the implications of the incident and what it could mean for the already tense situation in the region.

Some users described the strike as retaliation against Israel’s recent actions. Others expressed concern that the situation could further escalate the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Several critics also accused global media outlets of bias in reporting the conflict. At the same time, supporters of different sides continued to argue about the narrative surrounding the war.

The latest development follows growing tensions after recent US and Israeli operations targeting Iran. These actions had already heightened fears of a wider regional conflict.

Iran has not officially confirmed launching the missiles. Israeli authorities said that most of the incoming missiles were intercepted by the country’s Iron Dome defence system.

So far, there have been no confirmed reports of casualties. Authorities are still assessing the damage and investigating the full impact of the barrage.

Security experts warn that Israel could respond with retaliatory action. Such a move may further increase tensions in the region.

Meanwhile, global observers are closely watching Mojtaba Khamenei’s leadership. Analysts believe his approach could influence Iran’s future policies and international relations.
