Telugu Woman’s Tragic Event In Washington

A tragic incident unfolded at Rialto Beach, Washington, when Swetha Chirumamilla, a 27-year-old Seattle resident, lost her life in a harrowing encounter with the Pacific Ocean.

Originally from the Telugu states, Swetha had been walking along the beach with two friends when a powerful wave struck the shore, sweeping her into the water shortly.

Search and rescue teams from various agencies were immediately dispatched to the scene. After 5 hours, rangers reported finding a body on the shore, but adverse weather conditions prevented an evacuation attempt at that time.

Rialto Beach was closed the next day due to heavy rain and strong winds. After more than two days Swetha’s body was successfully brought in from the beach. This recovery operation took longer than initially reported, spanning 48 hours from the time her body was first located.

Swetha’s untimely passing has deeply affected her family, friends, and colleagues. In her memory, the community has rallied together to bring her body back to her homeland in India, with both the family and her employer contributing to the expenses.
