The recent incidents involving Indian students in the US are deeply troubling.
The recent reported ransom call targeting Abdul Mohammed from Hyderabad, along with the tragic loss of Neel Acharya earlier this year, underscores the vulnerability of students in the US to violent crimes.
Now, with Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi missing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the past four days, our concerns have heightened.
Rupesh’s family and friends are undoubtedly going through a tumultuous time, anxiously awaiting his safe return.
He did his schooling in Hanamkonda while he did his Civil Engineering from SR Engineering College, Warangal.
Rupesh’s educational journey from Warangal to Concordia University Wisconsin reflects the aspirations and dreams of countless students seeking opportunities abroad.
However, these incidents serve as stark reminders of the risks associated with studying overseas.
As we fervently hope for Rupesh Chandra’s safe return, our thoughts are with his family, who are undoubtedly enduring unimaginable distress.
We pray for Rupesh’s safe reunion with his loved ones at the earliest.
