After Bollywood, Will SRK Save Indian OTT Now?

Netflix has revealed its exciting lineup for 2025. But the only problem is, it is not as exciting as we expected.

The OTT platform unveiled 6 films, 13 series and 5 reality programmes which will be released this year. While that sounds really exciting, upon looking further, only some projects seem to have captured the interest of the audience.

R. Madhavan is a part of two films out of the six. We will also see Siddharth Anand make his OTT debut with the film Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins.

While the cast of the films is impressive, none of the storylines of the movies is exciting enough.

As a part of their lineup for upcoming series, we will see Delhi Crime, Kohrra and Rana Naidu get renewed for another season.

Among the series, Black Warrant has already been released in January and has gotten a lot of love from the audience. Another show that fans are excited about is Dabba Cartel, starring an empowering ensemble of powerful women.

However, among the entire slate, only one project really stands out- The BA**DS of Bollywood!

Aryan Khan is set to make his directorial debut, and fans can’t wait to see what he brings to the table.

Looking back at 2023, Bollywood was in crisis. The industry struggled to deliver hits until Shah Rukh Khan stepped in with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki and single-handedly revived the box office.

Now, with Aryan Khan stepping behind the camera, could he and SRK save the OTT space from a similar slump? Because, quite frankly, none of the other upcoming projects seem to be exciting- except this one.
