Amazon Prime Video faced a major outage yesterday, leaving users across India unable to stream any content. The app remained down for several hours, and thousands of complaints poured in as frustrated subscribers shared screenshots of error messages.
The issue wasn’t limited to India — users in the UK and Europe also reported being unable to access the platform. Despite the widespread outage, Amazon Prime Video has yet to release an official statement explaining the cause or duration of the downtime.
The outage has only added to user frustration following a series of technical glitches on the platform. Since its latest update, many viewers have complained about missing subtitles after ads, making the viewing experience worse.
Users are also upset about the increasing number of advertisements during movies and shows. With repeated errors and interruptions, subscribers say they are now considering better streaming alternatives if Amazon Prime Video doesn’t fix these issues soon.
