Amazon MX Player has announced its new investigative supernatural thriller Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery. The series is inspired by the real life work of India’s first paranormal investigator, Gaurav Tiwari, and aims to blend documented cases with dramatic storytelling.
Karan Tacker plays the lead role of Gaurav Tiwari. The cast also includes Kalki Koechlin, Danish Sood, Saloni Batra, Shubham Chaudhary, and Nimisha Nair. The series is directed by Robbie Grewal and draws heavily from field investigations.
Social media reactions have started pouring in soon after the reveal. Many viewers praised the suspense, mystery, and scare factor. Some called the series gripping and said the storytelling keeps viewers engaged throughout.
Several users highlighted Karan Tacker’s performance, describing it as convincing and impactful. Others felt the real life inspiration added weight to the narrative and made the series more unsettling for horror fans.
Some viewers also described the series as mind boggling because it is rooted in actual incidents. Bhay also marks Karan Tacker’s return to OTT after Khakee: The Bihar Chapter in 2022, making the project more notable for his fans.
