BB10: Who Is Strong & Who Gets Sympathy?

The tenth edition of the Bigg Boss Telugu TV show is live. Nagarjuna Akkineni returned as the host for season 10 and introduced 16 participants to the audience. Ten are celebrities, while the remaining six are from the Agni Pariksha reality show. However, at first, the show doesn’t seem exciting enough to get addicted to.

Only three female contestants are in the celebrity category, while the other seven are male. Debjani Modak, Chaitra Rai and Varshini Sounderajan are the female celebrities. Debjani and Chaitra Rai are familiar names for those who regularly follow TV soaps. Varshini is familiar to the audiences who watch films and TV shows, as she marked her debut with Chandamama Kathalu.

At first impression, Debjani looked dull, while Chaitra seems reserved, yet someone who does not hesitate to voice her opinions. Varshini is popular among the three, and she seems to have entered the show with proper planning and strategy.

Among the male celebrities, we have two actors from the most popular Jabardasth TV show. One is Auto Ramprasad, and the other is Naresh. At first, Ramprasad hasn’t shown the same entertainment quotient as Avinash or Emmanuel, who were ex-contestants. When it comes to Naresh aka Potti Naresh, the sympathy factor might work in his favor, but his survival beyond the first week may be doubtful, as he could be a soft target for anyone to nominate.

When it comes to film actors, we have Krishnudu, Vamsi Krishna aka Temper Vamsi, and Adith Arun aka Thrigun Easwaran. While Krishnudu is the most popular among the three, the families could root for him because of his soft-spoken attitude and innocence. However, his survival will also be doubtful because he would be an easy target for other housemates, citing his age as the reason. In fact, he is the eldest contestant in the house. The audience knows little about Temper Vamsi, and he could be a revelation if he presents himself as drastically different from the image he has in the audience’s mind. For now, he looks silent! Thrigun could become one of the top performers, and there have been reports that the first fight of the season took place between Thrigun and Rohith. Thrigun is definitely a strong player.

The other two celebrities are TV serial artist Mukesh Gowda and YouTuber Sudheer Reddy. While Mukesh enjoys a huge fan base among TV audiences, Sudheer will be seen as a surprise package because of his non-controversial approach on YouTube.

Now, the choice of commoners remains a big question. Rohith Naidu certainly deserves a chance, and positive vibes surround him. Aman who failed to put a proper performance in Agni Pareeksha reportedly got a big voting which remains a mystery. His chance could have gone to other genuine performers like Ramakrishna, Hemanth, or Mithilesh. Charan is an interesting pick, but he has failed in the key task after entering the house.

When it comes to the female commoners, Srishti, Shalini and Jhansi are in the race. There have been attempts to brew a romantic track between Shalini and Aman. If it grows with each passing day, then it will be clear that the two were selected only to generate content along those lines. Apart from Jhansi, Srishti and Shalini are underperformers. For now, we have to see how these commoners perform.

As we zoom out, the contestants who could get sympathy are Naresh, Jhansi and Krishnudu. While Jhansi’s farming background may instantly push the audiences to look at her in that approach, the personalities of Krishnudu and Naresh could generate sympathy. The strong performers on the face are Thrigun, Ramprasad, Rohith, Varshini, and Shalini. Charan, Vamsi, and Mukesh can surprise us while the others leave no impression in their first appearance on the show.

That said, the season, overall, doesn’t instantly pull audiences in. Let’s wait and watch!
