The grand prequel of the “Game Of Thrones”, which is “House Of The Dragons”, is a global phenomenon, the GOT fanatics waited for season 2 with unbreakable determination.
But with the release of season 1 fans understood it has nothing new to offer, the game of thrones garnered such popularity because it was based on one particular time period and followed some characters which were dear to the audience.
But, they simply missed out on one fact that same characters won’t serve the same for a long period of time.
Similar thing happened with “The Vampire Diaries”, once a very dear show which garnered a huge amount of viewership, slowly decreased in number because of poor and repetitive sequences and once they launched “Originals” a huge amount of viewership dropped exponentially.
Similar thing happened with “House Of The Dragons” season 2 as well, although they claimed that the release day of House Of The Dragons season 2 was one of the biggest ocean days of HBO.
But from 10 million viewers the viewership has dropped 2 million in number, making it around 7.8 million.
Although, HOTD Season 2 didn’t pay that much attention in marketing as well, this is another major reason for the drop in viewership.
