Evergreen Film Returns to OTT, Streaming on Prime

Classic fantasy film Tumbbad is released again big-time in the streaming world on Prime Video. The time-tested mix of horror-mythology-rural heritage with an undertone of classical texture will enchant another list of viewers.

Directed by Rahi Anil Barve and Adesh Prasad, Tumbbad is a dark, atmospheric film of the early 20th century that explores greed, lineage, and the supernatural.

When it was released to little praise, it was actually another such strangely toned film that failed to receive the applause it needed. But gradually it turned into a popular and discussed film through word-of-mouth, film festivals, and good reviews.

The tale of the indefatigable Vinayak Rao questing for treasure buried in the haunted village of Tumbbad is one of the constant awareness of confronting ancient deities and spine-tingling consequences infinite greed will have, even as he goes deep into discovering its secrets.

There is a scarce art of haunting provocations and the entrancing image-making and spinning of yarns, which make Tumbbad nothing less than a modern classic.

Tumbbad provides thrills that are worth melting into the silver screen-a cultural thread that transformed Indian cinema. The stunning visuals, practical effects, and gripping narrative are sheer magic.

The movie is currently available on Prime Video, and it’s an amazing movie to watch. Horror, Myth, Good Story- Tumbbad is a button to push. Turn off the lights, set the popcorn aside, and dive deep into the enigmatic world of Tumbbad!
