The live-action adaptation of Goosebumps was done in the 90s and instantly became a fan favorite. This time, with a modern twist, the series is making a comeback. Even in the 2010s, a couple of feature films under the same title hit the market, but they are somewhat forgotten.
Now, Disney+ has taken on the responsibility to not only revive the title but also provide fans with a breath of fresh air. According to the creators, the new series will feature iconic characters and offer new adventures for the younger generation.
The spin-off series features a group of five high school students embarking on a journey to investigate the death of a teenager whose ghost has returned 30 years after passing away.
The first episode takes us back to 1993 and includes numerous Easter eggs for those who are massive fans of the original franchise and the books.
The series also takes a terrifying turn, one that wasn’t truly experienced by consumers of the original works. However, in terms of downsides, the horror CGI effects may not deliver an unforgettable experience.
The show will undoubtedly take viewers on a nostalgic ride, and after a few horror scenes, some will likely fall in love with it.
