Jawan prevue: A Smashing Entertainer With Doubts

After so many delays and post-production works finally Jawan prevue made it to the audience and it looks like a perfect blend of Atlee’s mind and Shahrukh’s aura. The trailer begins with a dialogue of Shahrukh saying “Who am I, what I am, I do not know…”, assisted with the powerful Anirudh Ravichndar’s powerful BGM.

Although Shahrukh here plays a very different character than most of his movies, we keep witnessing callbacks from his previous films. Something like “Naam to suna hoga” makes you feel the stardom that we are a fan of. We also see glimpses of Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupati, and Deepika for brief moments. The prevue is an out-and-out Shahrukh Khan show.

The which is exciting about this prevue is that it doesn’t try to hold back as it did in Salaar teaser and many others. It shows many of the hyped moments yet leaves us clueless about the story. The definitely has an Atlee feel. It can be a little difficult for North Indian audiences to connect through. The clip is very unlike Bollywood. Yes, the North Indians love watching Tamil films dubbed in Hindi but that userbase doesn’t overlap with the fandom of Shahrukh Khan.

Overall, the prevue looks highly entertaining.

But let’s hope everything comes out to be good for Jawan.
