JioCinema To Develop Dating Show In India

Indian OTT platforms are currently in a race to adapt global shows. This year, Netflix has adapted “Class,” which is an adaptation of the Spanish series “Elite.” Now, Jio Cinema is also set to join these OTT platforms by launching their adaptation of an American reality series.

Jio Cinema announced on Thursday that they will be adapting “Temptation Island,” an American dating reality show where couples showcase their bond on a tropical island by participating in various tasks. In a press release by Jio Cinema, the makers stated that the show promises to captivate the audience with its “unique blend of love, temptation, and relationship drama.” There were reports that this show will be hosted by Kangana Ranaut, as she has previously hosted a successful season of Lock Upp.

The couples will need to perform tasks continuously to survive on the island. The concept is quite similar to that of the MTV show “Splitsvilla,” which used to be hosted by Ranvijay and Sunny Leone.
