Mukesh Chhabra faces complaint over remark

Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent 2 is facing another controversy, with a complaint reportedly filed against Dhurandhar’s casting director Mukesh Chhabra and Netflix India. The complaint concerns allegedly objectionable and sexually suggestive language used during a recent episode.

The episode featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhuvan Bam, Mukesh Chhabra, comedian Kaustubh Agarwal and host Samay Raina. According to the complaint, Anurag Shrivastav was watching the episode on Netflix from a hotel room in Mumbai on the evening of September 22 when he allegedly heard the remark.

The complaint attributes the following statement to Chhabra: “Mere Aaram Nagar mein aao, g**** *****.” The complainant has described the alleged language as inappropriate and raised concerns about its possible impact on viewers who accessed the episode through the streaming platform.

Anurag Shrivastav has also questioned how the alleged content was cleared for streaming. The complaint reportedly seeks an investigation into Netflix India’s role and has also raised questions about the involvement of content chief Monika Shergill in the content approval process.

However, the allegation has not been established as fact. The complaint itself reportedly asks authorities to verify whether the statement was actually made, identify the voice, establish the complete context and confirm the exact timestamp using the original and unedited recording.

India’s Got Latent has faced controversy earlier as well. Season 1 became embroiled in a major controversy in February 2025 after Ranveer Allahbadia made comments about parents and sex, leading to widespread backlash and legal action.

The latest complaint has once again brought attention to the show and its content. However, whether the allegations lead to further legal action or an official investigation remains to be seen. For now, the complaint remains an allegation requiring verification.
