OTT Blockbuster’s Director Returns: Magic Repeat?

The comeback of director Oni Sen, the award-winning name behind the OTT blockbuster series Asur, has already created a huge buzz with his latest project, Safed Sagar, a Netflix series inspired by the actual Operation Safed Sagar of the 1999 Kargil War.

The much-awaited war drama boasts an impressive cast of Siddharth, Abhay Varma, Dia Mirza, and Jimmy Sheirgill, who will all be seen together to bring this thriller to life.

Asur shocked viewers with its combination of crime thriller and mythological plot and set a new benchmark for Indian web shows. The initial two seasons received massive appreciations, and one of the biggest OTT hit serials was the outcome.

Because of this mammoth success, humongous expectations have been placed on Safed Sagar, and it will depict the courage and planning skills of the Indian army in a monolithic military operation.

The series will cover the 47-day Indian Air Force mission following precision bombing to evict enemy troops from defensive positions on the Line of Control.
