Prashant Neel’s 2023 movie “Salaar,” which was released last year, received mixed reviews from the audience. While some praised it for its intricate world-building, others criticized it for being just another installment of the KGF color palette.
The film was released alongside Shahrukh Khan’s “Dunky” and outperformed it by a huge margin but still lagged behind “KGF 2.” However, it provided a ray of hope for Prabhas, who had been stuck in a series of flops such as “Radhe Shyam” and “Adipurush.”
“Salaar” narrates the story of Khandar, an independent kingdom with three powerful clans ruling it, delving into the internal politics to seize the throne.
The OTT release of “Salaar” happened on Netflix on January 22, but its Hindi version was not released, limited to Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Now, on people’s demand, the date for its Hindi release has been announced. Starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Hasan in lead roles, “Salaar” will premiere on Feb 16th, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
