Victory Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam was a massive blockbuster, collecting over 250 crores at the box office. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film emerged as the top winner among all Sankranti releases, especially appealing to family audiences.
Given its blockbuster success, fans have been eagerly waiting for its OTT release, but an unexpected twist has now been revealed.
Instead of premiering first on OTT, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam will have its television premiere on Zee Telugu before its digital release.
Zee Telugu officially announced this surprising update, stating that the film will first be available for TV audiences. A promo was also released, asking viewers to get ready to relive the Sankranti vibe once again.
Initially, reports suggested that the movie would stream on Zee5 in the third week of February. However, Zee’s decision to telecast the film on TV first has shocked everyone.
Given its strong appeal among family audiences, this move could ensure record-breaking TRP ratings for the channel.
With its theatrical success, a high-demand OTT release, and now an early TV premiere, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam continues to dominate conversations. Zee Telugu is expected to announce the official telecast date soon.
