Picture this: A movie that’s supposed to be all about a health department guy dealing with rats in a tiny village inhabited by, well, two other folks. But hold on, that’s not the whole story! Ralph Fiennes, our leading man and Dahl doppelganger, is not just a rat-catcher; he’s a rat-looking guy with the swagger of a smooth-talking politician or a cunning con artist.
What makes it a great film are the layers that exist, the multiple interpretations of the story that make it such a good watch.
