The Kashmir Files Unreported Gets Release Date

In 2022, a movie starring Anupam Kher and Darshan was released with a minimal budget and little promotion. Surprisingly, the movie gradually became a nationwide sensation due to its sensational screenplay, powerful dialogues, and heart-wrenching story based on real incidents. Word of mouth spread all over the country, making it one of the biggest hits of 2022, a success that no one could have anticipated.

Some people labeled this Vivek Agnihotri directorial as a propaganda film, arguing that it aimed to highlight the terrors faced by Hindus during the 1990s in Kashmir. However, even critics could not deny the movie’s technical strength and everyone appreciated Vivek Agnihotri’s direction.

In an interview, Vivek Agnihotri acknowledged that a 2-hour movie couldn’t fully portray the terror and atrocities endured by Kashmiri bandits. As a result, he announced his upcoming Zee5 series titled “The Kashmir Files Unreported,” set to be released on 11th August 2023. This series, presented in a documentary style, aims to showcase the horrors faced by the survivors and shed light on the circumstances that led to the removal of Article 370 and its present-day impact.
