Trailer Out Of Mrs, Remake Of Malayalam Cult

In 2021, a Malayalam movie called “The Great Indian Kitchen” drew not much attention initially, but with word-of-mouth publicity, it became a widespread phenomenon not only within the Malayalam industry but throughout India. The movie went on to receive numerous awards for its brilliant screenplay, impeccable acting performances, and the sensitivity with which it addressed issues faced by women in their roles as homemakers, from kitchen duties to managing the household. It also highlighted the challenges women face when adjusting to a new home after marriage.

The movie is now being remade in Bollywood titled “Mrs”, with Sanya Malhotra playing the lead role. Sanya, a very talented performer known for her work in movies like “Photograph” and “Patakha,” also starred in a film called “Pagliat,” where she portrayed a woman trapped in a patriarchal society and received high praise for her role. Her selection for this role makes a lot of sense.

The teaser of “Mrs” was dropped today it look gives us the hope a remake worth watching. The movie, directed by Arati Kadav and starring Sanya Malhotra, Nishant Dahiya, and Kanwaljit Singh, will premiere at the Talinn Black Nights Film Festival on November 17th and will be available on JioCinema.
