Amazon Prime Video has been receiving a wave of criticism from users, not just for ads and rental issues but also for a surprising technical glitch. The popular streaming platform’s “Continue Watching” feature seems to be failing for some subscribers.
Normally, OTT platforms allow viewers to resume a film or show from where they left off. But users say Prime Video often fails to save the progress. One user on social media explained that after pausing a film to take a phone call and closing the app, the movie disappeared from the “Continue Watching” list. Instead, Prime Video marked it as completed and only displayed a “Start Over” button, forcing the user to search for the film again.
The post quickly gained attention, with many others sharing similar frustrations. Taking note, Amazon’s official help account responded, asking the user to share details privately so they could investigate.
While such glitches may not affect every subscriber, many find it frustrating. For frequent viewers, losing track of unfinished content can be a major annoyance. The question now is whether Amazon will address the issue and improve the “Continue Watching” feature to match the seamless experience offered by rival platforms.
