On the other hand, regional films ruled the theatres with their compelling plot and octane ambiance capturing a large audience.
Bollywood moreover focused on already-built franchises and remakes. As Bollywood continues to sink into darkness, another huge remake is rumored to be produced starring Kartik Aaryan.
Nani’s action thriller Saripodhaa Sanivaaram was the most expensive film in his career made on a budget of 90 crores. As the remake of the film is in the talks, it is reportedly titled Saturday star.
Despite the movie itself being a decent box office release, there is no need to make a remake of an already-established film. The film’s Hindi dub is also available for viewers to experience the original in Hindi.
As for Kartik Aaryan, he starred in Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo remake titled Shehzada, which was a disaster at the box office.
It seems no lesson was learned from that mistake as Bollywood might have another disastrous year ahead. Though there is no confirmation regarding this news but if it happens, it’ll be another low set for an already sinking Bollywood industry.
