Shahid Kapoor’s new film O’ Romeo has caught attention for an unexpected reason. Viewers noticed Aamir Khan’s name in the opening credits despite him not appearing in the film. This led to confusion and speculation about a possible cameo. Director Vishal Bhardwaj has now clarified the reason behind the credit.
According to Vishal Bhardwaj, Aamir Khan played an important role during script discussions. After reading the script, Aamir suggested a major narrative twist. He advised killing a key character at a crucial moment to strengthen the emotional impact. The specific suggestion involved the lawyer being killed in a restaurant scene.
The director admitted that this single idea altered the film’s narrative direction. The incident becomes the turning point that makes Shahid Kapoor’s character take the heroine seriously. This shift eventually drives the love story forward. Vishal Bhardwaj felt the input significantly improved the plot.
However, the creative choice did not resonate with many viewers. Several reviewers believe transforming a revenge drama into a love story weakened the film. As a result, O’ Romeo is currently struggling at the box office and failing to attract large audiences.
