Fans are reacting strongly after Abhinav Kashyap called Salman Khan a “gunda.” The filmmaker’s comments have created a stir online, with many of Bhai’s supporters stepping in to defend him.
Abhinav, who directed the 2010 film Dabangg, recently shared that he felt Salman Khan was never genuinely interested in his work. According to him, Salman appeared more focused on the power of stardom than on acting or meaningful contributions to cinema.
His remarks did not go down well with Salman’s massive fan base. Many rushed to social media, saying such statements were unfair and uncalled for. They argued that dragging Salman’s family into the matter was unnecessary and disrespectful.
Several fans stressed that professional disagreements should remain professional. They felt personal attacks and derogatory labels like “gunda” crossed the line and should not be encouraged in public discussions.
Some others pointed out that if people do not wish to support Salman’s films, they should at least refrain from trolling or shaming him. They highlighted that the actor continues to work hard despite challenges in his personal life.
While Salman Khan has millions of loyal followers, opinions on him will always vary. Fans emphasised that one person’s statement cannot define who Salman is or diminish his standing as a superstar.
