Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is trending on social media after a video of her speech from the birth centenary celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba went viral. The event took place on 19 November 2025 at the Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham Auditorium in Andhra Pradesh.
The programme was attended by several well known personalities, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, and Pawan Kalyan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu were also present.
Aishwarya delivered the formal closing address on behalf of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. During her speech, she quoted, “There is only one caste, the caste of humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart. There is only one God, and He is omnipresent.”
This portion of her speech is now going viral. Many users highlighted how the camera briefly showed the Prime Minister as she delivered these lines, which added to the buzz.
Over the last decade, India has seen increased discussions and divisions based on caste, religion, and identity. Social media users say Aishwarya’s words stood for unity and compassion. They praised her for speaking with clarity and for avoiding any hate driven narrative.
As the video spread online, users began comparing her to Shilpa Shetty, Rajkummar Rao, Vikrant Massey, and others who faced criticism for supporting divisive remarks in recent events. Another video of Shilpa Shetty boasting about her caste also went viral at the same time.
After her speech, Aishwarya stepped down and touched Narendra Modi’s feet, which also became a widely circulated moment. Within just two minutes on stage, users felt she had delivered a message of love and universality without engaging in politics.
