Akshay Kumar is ready to team up with Priyadarshan to share the screen once again with Saif Ali Khan after several years.

However, the only problem is that the film would be a remake of Priyadarshan’s Malayalam thriller Oppam starring Mohanlal.

But if we take a look at the film in terms of quality and keeping aside the fact that it is a remake, Akshay Kumar is reportedly playing a thrilling character and is the antagonist.

However, if Akshay Kumar plays the role of the main lead, fans will witness him as a visually impaired man who is hunted by the law and trapped with several accusations, fighting for his life.

With such emotional connect and heavy storytelling, Akshay Kumar might look perfect for the role, and given the masterful direction of Priyadarshan, the film might leave a huge impact.

As far as the remake factor goes, it is not new for the renowned director to remake his old films, as he has done the same for Hera Pheri, Chup Chup Ke, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and many other films in the past.

The remake titled Haiwaan has a lot of potential, and given the track record of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, people might tune in to watch the thriller even if they have watched the original one.

Remakes like Drishyam have performed well at the box office due to their potential and edge-of-the-seat mystery storytelling. Oppam also has a similar potential, and Haiwaan might capitalize on it.
