Akshay’s Comeback: Double Role, Big Budget & Remake

Akshay Kumar is not backing down despite recent flops. The actor is ready to return with a double role in Anees Bazmee’s Ram Aur Shyam, promising audiences a dose of his trademark comedy once again.

Produced by Dil Raju, the film enters pre-production this December. The makers plan to begin filming in March next year after several rounds of detailed preparation and casting.

The big question now is whether this project is a remake of Dilip Kumar’s classic Ram Aur Shyam. While the team hasn’t confirmed anything, fans believe Bazmee’s involvement hints at a high-energy comedy in Akshay’s familiar zone.

Anees Bazmee and Akshay have already created magic with Welcome, which remains one of Bollywood’s most loved comedies. With Dil Raju backing this project on a massive scale, expectations are sky-high for Ram Aur Shyam.

Fans see this as a major opportunity for Akshay to reclaim his box-office strength. Many have drawn parallels with Kartik Aaryan’s revival through Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, calling it a possible turning point for Akshay’s career.

Meanwhile, discussions around No Entry 2 have intensified. Some online users believe Anees Bazmee is prioritising Akshay’s project before the much-delayed sequel, especially after rumours of cast changes surfaced.

The challenge for Akshay and Anees will be to recreate the spark that made Welcome iconic. Fans expect them to bring back old-school humour and memorable characters that define classic Bollywood comedy.

With no official announcement yet, fans are waiting to see if this collaboration delivers the comeback moment Akshay truly needs.
