Top Tollywood producer Dil Raju is back with ambitious plans after facing a tough phase. Some of his recent films Game Changer, Family Star, and Thammudu failed to deliver at the box office. If Sankranthiki Vasthunam hadn’t worked, it could have seriously impacted his banner.
Despite the setbacks, Dil Raju isn’t slowing down. He revealed that he earned good returns from distributing OG and now plans another project with Pawan Kalyan. Anil Ravipudi is likely to direct, though the team awaits Pawan’s confirmation as his role as Deputy Chief Minister limits his availability.
Dil Raju is also eyeing a major collaboration with Prabhas. They earlier worked together on Mr. Perfect and Munna, but post-Baahubali, no project took off. Talks are now on for a new film, expected to take shape next year.
In Bollywood, Dil Raju is developing two big projects. One is a remake of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, and the other a Salman Khan starrer to be directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Official announcements are expected soon.
On the Tamil front, after producing Varisu with Vijay, Dil Raju is planning a film with Ajith. Meanwhile, content-driven projects like Yellamma, directed by Venu Yeldandi and starring Devi Sri Prasad, are also in progress.
With films lined up across Telugu, Bollywood, and Tamil industries, next year could mark a major comeback for Dil Raju if his script choices strike the right balance this time.
