Allu Aravind’s Biggest Dream: Will Aamir Fulfill?

Allu Aravind plans to make a Ghajini sequel soon. He created history when he made Ghajini with Aamir Khan and A. R. Murugadoss in 2008. The movie went on to be the first Indian film to gather one hundred crores at the box office.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ was released only a few days before Ghajini and it gathered around 86 crores. Despite huge hype, it could not cross the hundred crore mark due to the socio-political instability after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

Ghajini went on to be a cultural phenomena and if the makers manage to pull off a sequel with the similar hype, it would be really grand.

Seventeen years have passed and it is not known whether Ghajini still has any relevance in audiences or not. The first movie did have an impactful and definitive ending and there were no cliffhangers at all.

Allu Aravind said that Aamir was very confident about Ghajini being the first hundred crore film, and for the first thousand crore film, Ghajini 2 looks like a very good option.

But the supporting actress Jiah Khan is not with us anymore too. It will be a difficult thing to make up a sequel for the story.

Netizens think Aamir Khan does not have the star-spark in him anymore and A.R. Murugadoss has not given a decent hit in a long time too. It will be curious to see if the duo can come up with an interesting continuation of the story or not.
