Pushpa 2 is running riots at the cinemas, well, a literal riot was seen in a stampede incident at the Sandhya Theatre during Pushpa 2 premiere last week. The stampede reported a casualty of Revathi, a 35-year-old woman.
The stampede occurred after Allu Arjun’s appearance at the theatre causing an unmanageable rush for the security personnel. Due to poor crowd management, a life was taken in the rush causing serious concerns on security in the country.
Allu Arjun was recently arrested almost a week after the stampede incident. Fans have been rocketing the internet with how Allu Arjun should not be punished for such an offense. They also claim that the management should be responsible for handling the crowd and not the actor.
There have been rumors that Bollywood superstars have always disliked the South Indian film industry and their actors. Varun Dhawan is here to disrupt these rumors as he stood with Allu Arjun amidst the controversy in one of his recent promotional campaigns for Baby John.
Varun stated how safety protocols are necessary for audiences and not only for the actors. He further stated that only one person cannot be blamed for everything that happens. Varun said “We can only urge the crowd to stay safe” defending Allu Arjun’s recent unfortunate incident.
Another Bollywood star also supported Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 amid the controversy of the film getting an IMAX release. People trolled the film for stealing Interstellar’s chance to be re-released in IMAX as Pushpa 2 was released in the same viewing experience.
Jahnvi Kapoor blasted such trolls by stating “Pushpa 2 is also cinema. Why are we so obsessed with idolizing the west and running down things that come out of our own country and instantly disqualifying it from being considered worthy?”
Jahnvi further stated how regional films are considered masterpieces worldwide but trolled in our own country. With rising concerns for Allu Arjun after his arrest, it remains to be seen how long will it take to sort out the complications and where this crazy ride for the actor goes from here.
