All Reviews are Fake Now? Audience Doesn’t Care?

Anurag Kashyap spoke about this recently. He said both filmmakers and audience are now doubtful, especially with so many “paid reviews” and dishonest practices.

Anurag Kashyap said only a few critics are respected today, that people don’t believe in traditional ways of judging films anymore.

Filmmakers used to feel happy when critics praised their work. But now many don’t care about reviews because they know reviews don’t matter as much as before.

This disappointment is not just about critics. Anurag Kashyap himself decided to leave Mumbai and stay away from the Hindi film industry.

He called the industry “toxic” and said it only cares about box office numbers and unrealistic goals. According to Anurag Kashyap the chase for huge profits has killed creativity.

Filmmakers now can’t get personal and artistic happiness. His comments remind us that once trust is broken in cinema, it’s very hard to get it back.
