Netflix Faces Legal Heat: Court Hearing October 30

Aryan Khan Netflix show controversy

Aryan Khan’s Netflix show The Ba**ds of Bollywood* has sparked major controversy since its release. Now, it’s facing serious legal trouble after a case was filed by IRS officer Sameer Wankhede.

The Delhi High Court has summoned Netflix, Red Chillies Entertainment, Google, X Corp, and Meta in response to Wankhede’s defamation suit. The officer claims that the show includes a comedy scene featuring his lookalike, which he says defames him.

Wankhede has asked the court to issue an injunction and remove the scenes portraying him. The case will be heard again on October 30, as the court awaits responses from all the parties involved.

He has also sought ₹2 crore in damages from the show’s production company, owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. The viral scene has drawn widespread attention, with Trollers mocking Wankhede online.

According to Wankhede, the series was made with the intent to damage his reputation, especially since his earlier case involving Aryan Khan is still pending. While viewers have enjoyed Aryan Khan’s satirical take, Wankhede finds it deeply offensive. The legal battle now moves to its next hearing, and all eyes are on what unfolds in court.
