Baby John: Atlee’s Ridiculous Statement Backfires

Atlee recently claimed that with the release of Baby John, Varun Dhawan would become the next superstar of Indian cinema, and that the film would do for him what Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal did for Ranbir Kapoor.

However, after the film’s release, it has received mixed reactions, with many audiences brutally trolling Atlee for his statement about both Animal and Baby John.

While Animal is hailed as a peak of heroism in Bollywood, Baby John has been criticized as a total disappointment. Varun Dhawan, despite his best efforts, was poorly presented, with many feeling that he lacked the necessary aura for the role. His voice, in particular, didn’t have the gravitas needed to make his character believable or impactful. Audience finds it difficult to take him seriously.

Many have expressed that it’s almost blasphemous to compare Varun Dhawan’s performance in Baby John to Ranbir Kapoor’s in Animal. In fact, many argue that Varun couldn’t even match Vijay’s portrayal of the same character in the original Theri, forget Rambir in Atlee.

People on social media want Atlee to apologize for making such stupid claims.

The film has taken a poor opening at the box office, with Day 1 collections expected to touch around 12 crores, largely due to the Christmas holiday. However, the film is expected to see a big drop in the coming days, and it may struggle to even achieve an average verdict.
