Can Rashmika Bring Back Missing Diwali Magic at BO?

As Diwali lights up October, Bollywood gears up for another festive box office battle. Maddock Studios’ Thamma is set for a grand arrival this Diwali, promising a dose of drama and celebration on the big screen.

The trailer of Thamma has created a fair buzz, but the larger-than-life excitement once linked to Diwali blockbusters feels missing. You don’t sense that old-school thrill that once surrounded festive releases.

There was a time when Diwali meant packed theatres and unforgettable films like Om Shanti Om, Golmaal, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. That magic seems to have faded in recent years, leaving a gap in Bollywood’s festive charm.

Even with stars like Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, a strong story, and Maddock Studios backing it, Thamma hasn’t caught fire yet. The buzz feels modest for a film of this scale.

Still, it’s too early to write it off. With several songs and promotions yet to drop, Thamma could pick up speed before its release on 21st October. A solid push might even help it open beyond ₹20 crore on day one.

Now, all eyes are on whether Thamma can revive the lost Diwali magic and bring audiences back to theatres. You’ll know soon enough if it truly delivers that festive spark.
