Luv Ranjan’s hilarious film about an age gap couple is ready to come back for a second instalment. De De Pyaar De 2 will be directed by Anshul Sharma and it is set to be shot in Punjab! In the first film we witnessed the jodi of Ajay Devgan and Rakulpreet Singh along with Tabu and Jimmy Shergill. Now, the two will return again but with a solid punch of R. Madhavan in the role of the father of Rakul’s character.
De De Pyaar De 2 will pick up from where the first film left off. In this sequel, Ashish will meet with Ayesha’s father and we can expect that he would not approve of their age gap. De De Pyaar De was relatively successful at the box office, being a classic Luv Ranjan film it entertained the masses, and was a light family watch. With part 2, there is a lot of scope for improvement. The makers can work on what critics and fans liked and disliked in the first film.
Ajay Devgan is currently shooting Son of Sardar 2. As soon as he wraps up, he’ll be heading for the shoot of De De Pyaar De 2 in Punjab. Makers have chosen some exciting sites in Punjab to really add the authentic touch. Amidst back to back failure at the box office with Maidan and Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha, a comeback is what Ajay Devgan desperately needs. We can only hope that he meets with the expectations of the fans!
