Director Aditya Dhar has reportedly begun post-production work on the sequel to his blockbuster Dhurandhar. Sources say audiences can expect the trailer of the upcoming film by the end of February 2026.
Dhurandhar 2 has now entered a crucial post-production phase. Aditya Dhar is said to be fully focused on editing the trailer, which is expected to set the tone for the sequel.
The makers are targeting a late February trailer launch. A source said Aditya is personally handling the trailer cut and wants to deliver something impactful, similar to the first film.
Given the strong box office and audience response to Dhurandhar Part 1, trade analysts believe the sequel is well timed. The first film released on December 5, 2026, and the story is still fresh in viewers’ minds.
With post-production moving quickly, Jio Studios and B62 Studios are preparing for one of the most anticipated releases of 2026. Expectations around the project continue to rise.
Adding to the buzz, sources at Pinkvilla claimed that Akshaye Khanna has rejoined the sets of Dhurnadhar 2 to film additional scenes. This update quickly gained attention online.
However, reports from Bollywood Hungama suggest otherwise. They state that Akshaye Khanna is not shooting major portions, as his key scenes were completed before the sequel was officially announced.
While Akshaye remains an important part of the sequel, fresh shooting involving him is said to be limited. His presence is reportedly confined to a few flashback sequences in the film.
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
Scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, Dhurandhar Part 2 will continue Ranveer Singh’s journey. The film explores how his character becomes a spy and how his mission unfolds in Pakistan.
