First out of three, is just a pass!

Bollywood seems to be smitten by biopics on sportspersons recently and besides the released ones, there have been three in the making. One is ‘Dhoni’, the second one ‘Sachin’ and the third one ‘Azhar’ just hit the theaters.

One among the mentioned four, ‘Azhar’ made on the life of ex-cricketer and former Indian team captain Azharuddin has released and the according to the first reports, the film is just a pass. Reports say it wasn’t brilliant as expected and would remain as just an average film made in this genre.

The title role is played by Emraan Hashmi and the roles of Azhar’s two wives were essayed by Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakri. Though the premise is said to be interesting, the overall narrative and treatment is not up to the mark. Azhar’s life has many real controversial moments, but this film is not exactly a biopic.
