Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan are joining forces once again after Chandu Champion. The film earned Kartik strong critical praise and several awards, though it didn’t meet box office expectations.
Their next collaboration aims for a wider commercial reach. Reports suggest the new project is a high-budget sports action drama inspired by a true story.
Unlike typical sports biopics, this film will mix real-life inspiration with mainstream action and emotional storytelling, giving it broader audience appeal. Kabir Khan, known for large-scale cinema, appears ready to deliver a grittier and more dynamic narrative this time.
Industry buzz indicates this will be Kartik Aaryan’s most expensive project yet. After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik has clearly shifted toward bigger productions and challenging roles.
Still, using a sports backdrop comes with risks, as the genre has struggled to hold mass interest unless packed with entertainment value.
The film is currently in development, and an official announcement is expected in 2026. For now, Kartik is focusing on Naagzilla, which starts shooting in November.
The upcoming Kabir Khan film could be a major test for both to see if they can turn critical acclaim into box office success this time.
