Can Big B Boost Aamir-Sunny Deol’s Sinking Film Hype?

KBC may boost Batwara 1947 buzz

Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol are expected to appear alongside Amitabh Bachchan during the grand premiere of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18. The reported appearance has already generated strong buzz on social media. Fans are eager to see the three Bollywood stars share the stage.

According to online discussions, the episode could also become a major promotional platform for Batwara 1947 ahead of its theatrical release. Some social media users believe the appearance may help increase visibility for the film. However, there has been no official confirmation linking the episode to the film’s promotional campaign.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, Batwara 1947 is set against the backdrop of India’s Partition. The film stars Sunny Deol in the lead role and is scheduled to release in theatres on August 14, 2026. The reunion of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi has also attracted attention.

Despite the strong names associated with the project, Batwara 1947 has witnessed moderate pre-release buzz. Industry observers believe the promotional campaign has not yet reached the level expected for a collaboration involving Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol.

This is where Kaun Banega Crorepati could play an important role. A joint appearance by Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Sunny Deol has the potential to generate fresh interest among audiences. The show’s popularity could also help the film reach millions of viewers across the country.

The timing of the episode may work in the film’s favour. With Batwara 1947 releasing close to Independence Day, its historical backdrop and emotional story could connect with family audiences. Whether the television appearance translates into stronger box office interest will become clear after the film’s release.
