“Adult Comedy is For Fans Not Intellectual Critics”

After the trailer of Mastiii 4 dropped on November 4, 2025, social media users were sharply divided. While some fans enjoyed the bold humour, others criticised it for being too vulgar and crossing the line.

Director Milap Zaveri responded to the mixed reactions in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. He said the film is made for those who loved earlier hits like Masti, Grand Masti, and Kyaa Kool Hai Hum. According to him, Mastiii 4 stays true to its fun and naughty roots.

Milap added, “Certain intellectuals will obviously lash out; they are entitled to their opinion.” He explained that the movie doesn’t try to please everyone and instead focuses on entertaining its loyal audience base that enjoys adult comedies.

When asked about claims that the film objectifies women, Milap invited viewers to watch it first. He assured that the movie gives female characters strong roles and perspectives, offering more depth than people might expect from the genre.

Mastiii 4 features Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Ruhii Singh, Shreya Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shaad Randhawa, Nishant Singh Malkani, Arshad Warsi, Nargis Fakhri, and Natalia Janoszek. It releases on November 21, 2025.

The film marks the revival of adult comedy in Bollywood after nearly a decade. Milap said he’s eager for younger audiences to experience the kind of humour that defined the genre earlier, believing the response will match Masti 2’s success from 2013.
