Housefull 5 has jumped on the brain rot train with their latest song The Phoogdi Dance. The highlight is definitely Nana Patekar’s unhinged avatar as he makes the ensemble cast do the Fugdi folk of Maharashtra in a crazy Bollywood touch and can be himself seen doing b-boying and hip-hop.
On seeing the music video fans are split in their views. Some feel it is ultra cringe and a reputed actor like Nana shouldn’t indulge in something so base, while others feel it is on brand with the Housefull theme and Nana should be commended for being a good sport.
Indeed, Sajid Nadiadwala’s production is trying all tactics to pull the crowd to the theatres. They have given classic comedy and murder mystery for grown ups but also brain rot for gen-z squad.
There is something for everyone and the new music video is getting tremendous support from the fans. The film has stars like Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada amongst others.
If the film works well, Akshay might get the much needed blockbuster in his dry career spell.
