Tamannaah, Vikrant Massey Join Shahid For Big Test

After delivering acclaimed films such as Maqbool, Haider, and Omkara, Vishal Bhardwaj is set for a major comeback with O Romeo. The project has already generated strong buzz across the film industry.

O Romeo marks Vishal Bhardwaj’s reunion with Shahid Kapoor after Kaminey, Rangoon, and Haider. Their past collaborations have raised expectations among audiences and trade circles alike.

The film was initially reported to feature Triptii Dimri and Nana Patekar. Recent updates now confirm the addition of Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Disha Patani to the ensemble cast.

O Romeo is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film is scheduled for a Valentine’s Day release on February 13, 2026.

With less than two months remaining for release, anticipation around the project continues to grow. Fans are eager to see Vishal Bhardwaj return to the big screen.

Bhardwaj’s last release was Khufiya in 2023, starring Tabu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi. The Netflix film received mixed reviews, with praise for performances but criticism for its slow pace.

Shahid Kapoor’s most recent film was Deva, which released earlier this year. Despite strong pre-release hype, the film failed to connect with audiences and underperformed at the box office.

The casting choices have further fuelled excitement, especially with Nana Patekar and Triptii Dimri. Triptii Dimri’s recent film Dhadak 2 was widely appreciated by audiences.

With Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Disha Patani joining the cast, expectations have risen further. All three actors are known for their strong screen presence.

O Romeo is a crucial test for Vishal Bhardwaj’s theatrical pull. It is an even bigger challenge for Shahid Kapoor, who must prove his box office strength once again.
