Tamannaah Bhatia plays Jayashree in the biopic on filmmaker V Shantaram. The first look is now out. You see her in a pink Nauvari saree that reflects the era and the grace of the real Jayashree. Her role is important in the film as Jayashree shaped Shantaram’s personal and professional journey.
The film covers Shantaram’s tough beginnings in Kolhapur and Pune, where he trained under Baburao Painter, before becoming one of India’s greatest filmmakers. His classics like Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje and Do Aankhen Barah Haath still stand tall in Indian cinema.
Tamannaah says she feels responsible while portraying Jayashree, known for her elegance and strong screen presence. The makers believe Tamannaah will bring honesty and depth to the role. Even after 20 years in cinema, she continues to deliver major projects and works with younger co stars like Sidharth Malhotra and Siddhant Chaturvedi. It shows her strong demand and adaptability.
The biopic is produced by Rajkamal Entertainment, Camera Take Films and Roaring Rivers Production. Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande is the director.
