Ranveer vs Don 3: Massive Legal Twist

The dispute between Ranveer Singh and the producers of Don 3 continues to escalate. Recent reports suggest that the Producers Guild of India held a meeting to hear both sides. After discussions, both parties were reportedly advised to resolve the matter in court.

Sources claim that Excel Entertainment had initially cast Ranveer Singh for the film. During pre production, the actor was reportedly unhappy with certain aspects of his role and sought changes. The makers allegedly did not agree, leading to his exit in December 2025.

Producers are now said to be seeking compensation for losses incurred during pre production. Meanwhile, Ranveer has reportedly stated that the project faced repeated delays and unprofessional handling. The disagreement appears to have deepened over time.

It now seems likely that the issue will be settled legally. Interestingly, the producers remain confident about the Don franchise. The first film, Don, was released in 2006 and performed as a hit.

Later, Don 2 arrived with high expectations. Although it performed well, it did not fully match box office projections. The franchise has largely depended on star power.

Many believe the earlier films worked primarily because of Shah Rukh Khan and his screen presence. With Ranveer Singh no longer attached to Don 3, attention has now shifted to who will step into the lead role. The final outcome remains uncertain.
